f.o.r.d is a documented visual collection of Atlanta's
urban wildlife in the age of auto-mobilization and electrification: animals are run over by
combustion-human-transport-devices and fried by wires of energized particles. They bear the
risk of walking the hire wire rodent interstate or crossing the asphalt river, for which they
inevitably pay the ultimate toll, as they become the decomposing aspect of the roadway landscape.
Three years in the capturing, f.o.r.d presents a common city of Atlanta occurrence
from a unique and striking vantage. These are not just the streets of the bipedals;
they are the rodent cemeteries sans gravesites, sans mourning.
The animal crossing road signs include squirrels, opossums, chipmunks and raccoons. |
